Population: The population of Guam is 173,084.

Climate:  The climate of Guam can be described as a typical warm, tropical climate with two different seasons. The dry season is between December and April; the rainy season lasts from April to December, with the greatest falls between July and October. 

People:  The largest ethnic group are the native Chamorros, accounting for 37.3% of the total population. Other significant ethnic groups include those of Filipino (26.3%), White (7.1%), and Chuukese (7%) ethnicities.

Religion:  Roman Catholicism is the predominant religion, with 85% of the population stating an affiliation with it.  A small Jewish community exists as well.

Capital:  Hagåtña is the capital of Guam, which is a U.S. territory located in the western Pacific Ocean.

Language:  The official languages of Guahan are English and the heritage language Chamorro. Both languages are taught in the schools and appear in official documents.

Currency:  Guam’s currency is the US Dollar (US$).
