Climate: The warmest months in Cameroon are March to May with temperatures over 40°C. The dry season goes October to May while the rainy season goes from May to September.
People: Cameroon has over 250 ethnic groups living in over 10 provinces. The people are very loyal to the local community chief as well as being ruled by central government.
Religion: Christianity, Islam and Traditionalist are the three main religions in Cameroon. Christian churches and Muslim centers of various denominations operate freely throughout Cameroon while the traditionalists operate in their shrines and temples which are also becoming popular today. Cameroon culture consists of numerous religions including Christianity (about 69%), Islam (about 21%), and many other indigenous religions.
Capital: Yaounde is the capital of Cameroon.
Language: The country’s two national languages are English and French. English speakers live mainly in the southwest and northwest regions; in the rest of the country, French is dominant.
Currency: The Central African CFA Franc BEAC is the currency of Communauté Financière Africaine (BEAC).
