Population: The population of the Republic of the Congo is 4,791,663.

Climate:  The warm season lasts from February 22 to May 12 with an average daily high temperature above 32°C. The hottest day of the year is March 31, with an average high of 33°C and low of 23°C. The cold season lasts from June 14 to August 15 with an average daily high temperature below 29°C. The coldest day of the year is July 8, with an average low of 19°C and high of 28°C.

People: In present day Congo, non-Bantu tribes account for only 3% of the population. The Bantu include 74 peoples belonging to different ethnic groups such as the Kongo, the Teke, the Mbochi and the Sangha. The Bakongo live in the south from Brazzaville to Pointe-Noire on the Atlantic coast.

Religion: Christianity is the largest religion in Republic of the Congo, accounting for 50% of the total population. Other religions include Animism i.e., Traditional African religion and Islam (mainly Sunni). The majority of Christians in the country are Catholic.

Capital: Brazzaville is the capital of the Republic of the Congo.

Language: The official language of the Republic of Congo is French. Other languages are mainly Bantu languages, and the two national languages in the country are Kituba and Lingala (13%), followed by Mboshi, Bateke (17.3%), and more than forty other languages, including Pygmy languages (1.4%), which are not Bantu languages.

Currency: The currency used is called the Central African CFA Franc.
