Climate: Kyrgyzstan has a continental climate with cold winters and warm summers. In the lowlands, the temperature ranges from around -6°C (21°F) in January to 24°C (75°F) in July. In the low-lying Fergana Valley of the south temperatures may peak as high as the low 40s in summer. The seasons have different lengths in Kyrgyzstan. Spring can extend from March – May, summer from May – September, autumn from September to December sometimes, and winter from December – February. The best way to describe the overall climate of Kyrgyzstan is continental. Summers are hot and winters are cold.

Religion: Today Sunni Muslims make up almost 83% of the population followed by Christians (15%). They are Orthodox Russians and Germans with traditional division into Catholics and Lutherans. A small percentage of the population practice Buddhism and Judaism. Religious organizations are allowed to act in Kyrgyzstan.

Capital: The Capital City of Kyrgyzstan is Bishkek.

Language:  Russian and Kyrgyz are the two official languages of Kyrgyzstan.

Currency:  The Kyrgyzstani Som is the currency of Kyrgyzstan.

Time Zone:  Currently has same time zone offset as KGT (UTC +6) but different time zone name. Kyrgyzstan Time (KGT) is 6 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). This time zone is in use during standard time in: Asia.
