Population: The population of Singapore is 5,738,602.

Climate:  As a country near the Equator, Singapore does not have four seasons and in popular culture is known to have two – Wet and Dry. The Dry ‘season’ usually last from March to August, while the Wet ‘season’ lasts from September to February. However, there is not fixed weather in Singapore.  

People: Chinese 74.2%, Malay 13.3%, Indian 9.2%, other 3.3%.

Religion:  Together with Buddhism, Islam and Hinduism, Christianity is considered one of the four main religions today. Christianity in Singapore is not tied to a particular ethnic or racial group, although most Christians are Chinese.

Capital: As a city-state, Singapore is both the country and its capital. Singapore Island is the main island of Singapore, which is also called Pulau Ujong. This island is the largest island of Singapore as well as the most populous, with a population of over 5 million.

Language: According to the Constitution of Singapore, the four official languages of Singapore are Malay, Mandarin, Tamil, and English, while the national language is Malay.

Currency:  The Singapore Dollar is the currency of Singapore.
