Population: The population of Thailand is 68,233,445.

Climate:  The weather in Thailand is hot and humid, with a long monsoon season. Thailand has three official seasons – hot, cool, and wet. The hot season runs from March through to June, with April and May the hottest months of the year.  

People: The large majority of the population is Thai or Isan, but there are also ethnic communities such as the Chinese, the Malay or the Khmer, and there are hill tribe peoples, each with its own customs and traditions.

Religion:  There is no official state religion in the Thai constitution, which guarantees religious freedom for all Thai citizens, though the king is required by law to be Theravada Buddhist. The main religion practiced in Thailand is Buddhism, but there is a strong undercurrent of Hinduism with its distinct priestly class.

Capital:  Bangkok is the capital and most populous city of Thailand.

Language:  The official language of Thailand is Thai.

Currency:  The Thai Baht is the currency of Thailand.
