Climate: The local climate is tropical, with a dry season from 1 December to 31 May, and a wet season from 1 June to 30 November. Average daytime temperatures are around 29 °C (84.2 °F), and average nighttime temperatures are around 18 °C (64.4 °F). 

People: 85.3% Black, 10.9% Mixed, 2.2% East Indian, 1.6% other and 0.1% unspecified

Religion: The main religion is Roman Catholicism, and Seventh-day Adventists and other Protestants are important minorities. The rate of population growth for Saint Lucia is slightly higher than the Caribbean average. The main population centres are Castries and Vieux Fort.

Capital: Castries is the capital of Saint Lucia.

Language: The natives of St. Lucia have English as their official language but quite a large amount of the St. Lucian population speaks a French dialect called Creole.

Currency:  The Eastern Caribbean dollar (EC$) is the island currency.
