Climate:   The climate of the Slovakia can be described as typical European continental influenced climate with warm, dry summers and fairly cold winters. In summer daytime temperatures reach 20-25°C, but sometimes quite higher, 30°C or more. There are four distinct season rotating each year, beginning with spring in March, which is, as of June 22, followed by summer. 

People: Hungarians heavily concentrated in southern border areas, total 10.6%. Romas (Gypsies) are reported to make up 1.6% of the populace; Czechs form 1%; Ruthenians account for 0.3%; Ukrainians for another 0.3%; Germans for 0.1%; Poles for an additional 0.1%; and various other groups account for the remaining 0.3%.

Religion:  The largest religion in Slovakia are the Roman Catholics (68.9%), the second largest group are non-religious (13%), then Lutherans (6.9%), Greek Catholics(4.1%), Protestant Reformers (2.0%) and Orthodox Church (0.9%).

Capital:  Bratislava is the capital city of a small country called the Slovak republic or Slovakia.

Language:  The official language is Slovak, a member of the Slavic language family.

Currency:  Euro is an official currency in Slovakia.
