Population: The population of the Plurinational State of Bolivia is 10,960,611.

Climate:  A humid tropical climate with clear-cut wet and dry seasons and an average temperature of 30 °C (86 °F). One of the wettest regions in Bolivia, the rainy season extending from late September to May, sees an annual rainfall average between 1000 and 4000 mm (40 – 150″).  There are primarily two seasons in Bolivia – the dry and the wet. The dry season is from May to October, the winter time months. The wet season is from November to April, the summer time months. It is coldest during the months of June to September and wettest from December to March. 

People:  Indigenous peoples in Bolivia, or Native Bolivians, are Bolivian people who are of indigenous ancestry. They constitute approximately 62% of Bolivia’s population of 10,461,053 and belong to 36 recognized ethnic groups. Aymara and Quechua are the largest groups.

Religion:  The Roman Catholic Church has a dominant presence in religion in Bolivia. While a vast majority of Bolivians are Catholic Christians, a much smaller portion of the population participates actively.

Capital: Sucre was than established as Bolivia’s capital city.

Language:  However, only 4 languages are utilized by a considerable number of Bolivians: Spanish: Is spoken by 84% of the population. Quechua: is spoken by 28% of the population. Aymara: Is spoken by 18% of the population and is one of the oldest Latin American pre-Colombian languages. Guaraní: Is spoken by 1% of the population.

Currency:  The Bolivian Bolíviano is the currency of Bolivia.
