People:  Chileans (Spanish: Chilenos) are natives of and long-term immigrants to Chile. Chileans are mainly the admixture of Spanish descent with indigenous peoples, with small, albeit important, degrees of 19th- and 20th-century European immigrant ancestry.  

Religion: The majority religion in Chile in 2015 is Christianity (68%), with an estimated 55% of Chileans belonging to the Catholic Church, 13% to Protestant or Evangelical churches and just 7% to any other religion.

Capital: The capital of Chile is Santiago, which is situated in Chile’s Maipo Valley and surrounded by the Andes Mountains.

 

Language: The official language of the Republic of Chile is Spanish (castellano) that is spoken by the whole population.
