Climate:  Although Venezuela lies within the tropics, its local climates vary with altitude from hot and humid lowlands to cool highlands. Temperatures in Caracas average 69° F (21° C) and vary little from season to season; about 32 inches (81 centimeters) of rain falls there each year, mainly from April to December. Rainy Season. Forget winter, spring, summer and fall when planning your Venezuela trip. Yes, it gets cooler from November through February and is most oppressive in July and August, but the temperature changes in one location tend to be so insignificant that the only seasons that matter are rainy and dry. 

People:  Venezuelan people are from a multi-ethnic nation in South America called Venezuela. Venezuelans are predominantly Roman Catholic and speak Spanish. The majority of Venezuelans are the result of a mixture of Europeans, Africans and Amerindians.

Religion:  Venezuela’s people are primarily Roman Catholic. It’s estimated that over 90% of the Venezuelan population are Roman Catholic. About 8% of Venezuela’s people are Protestant, and the remaining percentage of the population practice another religion, or are atheist.

Capital: Caracas officially Santiago de León de Caracas, is the capital, the center of the Greater Caracas Area, and the largest city of Venezuela. 

Language:  A total of 40 languages are spoken in Venezuela but Spanish is the most common and it is Venezuela’s official language.

Currency: The Venezuelan Bolívar is the currency of Venezuela.
